RESCISSION (CLOSURE) OF  BOIL WATER NOTICE

The Haines Public Water System is no longer on a boil water notice.

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has formally rescinded the boil water notice issued on June 24, 2015.  This notice was originally issued due to a routine total coliform bacteria sample testing positive for total coliform and E. coli bacteria.

A set of five repeat samples were collected with all sample results testing satisfactory (no total coliform bacteria were detected). 

The effective date of the boil water notice rescission is IMMEDIATELY June 26, 2015.
