Draft Agenda:
1. Discuss F18 Budget preparations (6-7pm)
Review current revenue/expenditures
- review the total expenditures as a whole
- review the top 5 cost centers and top 5 accounting number accounts
- identify the areas that have the greatest impact on savings
Future revenue assumptions
- State Revenue share
- Raw Fish Tax
- School debt reimbursement
Request committee support for implementing efficiencies
- Create “Innovation and Efficiency Task Force” comprised of borough staff and public members to explore, develop and implement innovative processes that would result in a more efficient delivery of borough services and maximize the use of limited taxpayer dollars.
- Government Affairs & Services:
- Determine essential & nonessential services
- Prioritize nonessential services
- Planning Commission:
- Prioritize roads
- Determine nonessential facilities & prioritize
- Finance:
- Develop ideas to bridge revenue gap
2. Review and discuss harbor construction bid (7-8pm)
