2. Discussion on Use of a Professional Search Firm to Hire a New Manager
- Suggested Motion: That the personnel committee recommends the assembly employ a single executive search firms to hire a manager & a police chief
3. Discussion of Manager Recommendation for Transition: The manager will present a recommendation to the Personnel Committee for a three-stage process to replace the current manager. (Acting Manager 4-6 weeks, Interim Manager 12-24 Weeks, Manager Hire and Transition)
- Suggested Motions: Endorse the manager’s recommendation for a three step process. Endorse the manager’s recommendation for a short term (4-6 weeks) acting manager
NOTE: The committee may move to go into executive session if it determines that sensitive conversation will take place related to potential candidates, especially involving current or former borough employees; it would be eligible for executive session because discussion in public would tend to prejudice the character of one or more persons.
