AP&T to Cut Power to a Certain Area of Town on Thursday, August 26 from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

From AP&T:

To make our power system more robust and provide better power services especially during future winter storm events,  we are doing some preliminary work on AP&T’s North feeder circuit. It unfortunately involves a much-needed scheduled outage.

Please post and pass the word to get the community informed.

AP&T will be de-energizing our North feeder on Thursday the 26th starting at 10:00 am and lasting until 1:00 pm. This is weather dependent and may have to be re-scheduled based upon weather events.

This will affect, to name a few:

Borough City works shop
Delta western Fuel depot/dock
Alaska Marine Highway Terminal. ( has backup generators)|
All Search/assisted living Bldg. on Dalton and 2nd Ave
The Captains choice hotel
The American Legion
Chilkat Bakery and restaurant
All Lutak and Skyline area.
