Mobile Commercial Business Committee (ad hoc)

On December 10, 2015, the planning commission considered that mobile commercial businesses have been established in the Townsite, but borough code does not address them. The commission passed a motion asking "the borough mayor [to] appoint a committee to come up with ideas for how mobile commercial businesses can be integrated into Haines Borough Code."

On April 12, 2016, Mayor Hill invited people to send emails or letters of interest to serve on an ad hoc committee to review the issue of mobile commercial businesses, including food trailers. On May 10, she announced appointment of all persons who expressed interest. That committee has its initial meeting on Friday, June 24.
