Solid Waste Working Group

Purpose

The Solid Waste Working Group is an ad hoc group established by Borough Assembly motion on September 27, 2016 to address the issue of solid waste management in the borough.  This seven-member group is made up of three community members at large and one representative from each of the following organizations: Community Waste Solutions, Haines Friends of Recycling, Takshanuk Watershed Council, and Haines Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, the Assembly Liaison and the Director of Public Facilities hold ex officio, non-voting positions.
