The Haines Borough is accepting applications for a part-time Community Youth Development (CYD) Director. This position works an average of 14-1/2 hours per week on a flexible schedule. The purpose of the CYD program is to assist the youth of the Haines Borough to develop into socially responsible and capable citizens by providing opportunities for youth to take an active part in wholesome activities which will develop their individual and group capabilities and responsibilities. The CYD Director reports to the Borough Manager and serves as an ex officio member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee.
Minimum Qualifications: High school education or equivalent. A valid Alaska Drivers License and a responsible driving history for transporting young people. Must be able to work well with people of all ages.
Wage: $15.24 per hour. Union membership is optional. Not eligible for the PERS retirement system. All new employees are subject to a probationary period.
