The Haines Borough is accepting applications for a part-time Firefighter-EMT. This position is under the direct supervision of the Fire Chief and is mainly responsible for functioning as a responding firefighter and EMT when the need arises. This position would work 20 hours a week.
Minimum Qualifications:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent, possession of a driver’s license issued by the State of Alaska, EMT certification or the ability to acquire EMT certification;
Preferred: EMT 1 State of Alaska certification; State of Alaska or IFSAC Firefighter 1 (FF1); related firefighting/emergency medical experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
Wage & Benefits:
Starting wage is $26.55 - $30.20 per hour DOE.
