The Haines Borough is accepting applications for a full-time, temporary EMT-Firefighter. This position will start February 5, 2025 - July 7, 2025. This may become a full-time, year-around position.
This position is under the direct supervision of the Fire Chief and is mainly responsible for functioning as a responding firefighter and EMT when the need arises and for maintenance of the records, facilities, inventory, tools and equipment of the Department and public education on fire prevention and safety.
Minimum Qualifications: High school graduate or GED, be a certified Alaska EMT, have ability to operate a computer and word processing programs, meet the qualifications of an engineer on the HVFD Engine Company.
Wage & Benefits: Starting wage is $26.55 - $29.36 per hour.
